The Trust Fund is supported by a one-percent tax on retail sales in Park County. Each year sales tax revenues are used to leverage state, federal and private grants to accomplish a variety of conservation, stream improvement and education projects.
Over the last ten years $1.5 million from the Trust Fund has been used to secure $9.6 million in grants for conservation easements, stream restoration efforts, aquatic recreation opportunities and new interpretive signs.
